5G has been in development for a long time now. People have been awaiting the specification of the 5G network ever since the introduction of the 4G network. A number of tech magazines and experts predicted the specification of 5G network and now you can find out whether the specifications held true or not.

3GPP is responsible for governing the cellular standards and in a meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, 5G specifications have been discussed and completed.

Now, we finally have an actual idea of how the 5G network will actually look like. There is still some time left to make the 5G network commercial. It will be interesting to see how it does in the real world.

5G network specification covers a wide range of the spectrum. Ranging from the 600 and 700 MHz bands to the millimeter wave portion of the spectrum at 50 GHz. More details about the 5G specification will be published as per the finalized standards later this week.

Now that the standard has been set, it is up to hardware companies and carriers to deliver the best results for society.  The launch of the 5G network is not very far as companies like T-Mobile and Verizon have already stated that they will start rolling out and introduced 5G networks as soon as 2018 or 2019.

We have been hearing about the impending launch of 5G for quite some time now and now it seems that we are not far from experiencing it. Mobile carriers and phone companies are working to roll out 5G as soon as possible and as we stated it might become a reality by 2018 – 2019.
